What Is
Fast Break?
The Legends Fast Break is a youth boys’ lacrosse tournament taking place at the DE Turf Sports Complex in Frederica, Delaware on June 12–13, 2027. It hosts regional and national youth programs from all over the East Coast. Teams are guaranteed five games across the weekend and a champion is crowned in every division.
Who Can Play
A youth boys’ event for regional and national programs from across the East Coast. Eligibility is set by grad year — HS divisions by current grad year, youth divisions by grad year and birth date. Players may play up but not down.
Divisions
- AA and A flights offered in each grad year
- Clearing counts apply for 2027–2034
- No counts for 2036 and below, except a 4-second goalie count
- Limited body checking in 2032–2036
- One-handed stick checks are not allowed in 2034 and below
Game Format
- 5 game guarantee across the weekend
- Two 21-minute halves, 3-minute halftime
- No timeouts and no overtime in pool play
- Playoffs: one timeout per team, sudden-victory overtime
- Four long poles maximum on the field
- A champion is crowned in every division
Schedule
Games start at 8:00 AM Saturday and Sunday and finish by 4:00 PM Sunday — book travel accordingly.
The 2027 schedule posts the week before the tournament. Schedule requests must be submitted in writing to events@legendslax.com at least 30 days out, and are not guaranteed.

Format
A full weekend of lacrosse — five guaranteed games, a real bracket, and a champion crowned in every division. Pool play runs straight through; playoffs add a timeout and sudden-victory overtime.

How It Goes Down
7:00 AM · Check-In Opens
Roster verification at the event tent before the first whistle.
8:00 AM · First Whistle
Pool play opens across DE Turf’s twelve lighted turf fields.
Midday · Pool Play Continues
Two 21-minute halves, three-minute halftime, no timeouts.
Evening · Day One Closes
Standings post to Tourney Machine and Sunday brackets are seeded.
8:00 AM · Play Resumes
Remaining pool games open the day.
Midday · Playoffs Begin
One timeout per team, sudden-victory overtime.
Afternoon · Championship Games
A champion is crowned in every division.
4:00 PM · Play Ends
All games finish by 4:00 PM — book travel accordingly.

Around Frederica
Route 1, Exit 83. About twenty minutes from Dover.
Downtown Dover
About twenty minutes from the complex — Delaware’s capital, with hotels and restaurants close to Route 1.
Tax-Free Shopping
Delaware has no sales tax, so the shopping around Dover is worth the short drive.
The Delaware Beaches
Rehoboth, Lewes and the rest of the Delaware shore are all within a short drive.

Age Guidelines
HS divisions go by current grad year. Youth divisions go by grad year and birth date, and players must meet both. Players may play up but not down.
Rostering
- All players must be registered and can only play for one team per event, unless approved by the event director.
- Unregistered players are ineligible and may cause a team to forfeit games and the player to be ejected.
- Teams found moving players or playing ineligible players may forfeit that game and any already played.
